Saturday night we went to the Latin quarter to hang out and while we didnt stay too long we did stop and got some wonderful crepes with Nutella, which in my opinion, is the absolute best kind of crepe there is. After we got our crepes we kept walking and came across these guys dancing on the street, they were pretty cool. I wish i could do some of the stuff they did!

Until next time....

en paris

I'm finally in France...after a long week before leaving. I left from BWI thursday night, although i left my house at about 11 am, and arrive in Paris about 10 am Friday morning. Talk about a weird time change....but after a few days im finally getting used to it. After arriving Fri morning...we headed back to our house in Fontenay aux Roses, about 30 mins from the airport. Even though there were 2 people at the airport to pick us up...we didnt all fit in the 2 rather small european cars....sooo karen and claire had to take a taxi. The driver of whom had not every been to the town we live in...i can only imgine the fun they had with that...lol....after arriving at the house we got all the bags in we decided on roommates and picked numbers to determine which room we all got....Alexia and I just happend to get the room on the 3rd floor. Oh what fun it was to drag our bags all the way up there but we made it....once we got settled in we had some lunch which was quite good! After the much needed lunch even though we really wanted to go to sleep, we knew that wasnt going to happen. We went on our "forced culture march" as our director had Tim called it, we ended up going to the next town down called Sceaux. In Sceaux there is a beautiful park with the Chateau de Sceaux, a big mansion. It was a long but beautiful walk. We found out that the park closes at 5...how did we find that out?? Well you see, these security gaurds(that looked like ninjas) told us that the park was closing and that we needed to leave.....sooo we headed out the way we had come in-the other end of the park. When we got there we came to learn that all of the gates were locked. After walking all the way back to the other end of the park 2 of the girls found a woman who worked there and was leaving so she let us out. But COME ON!! Who woulda thought that on our first day here…we would get locked in a frickin park! After we finally escaped we walked back to our house which combined with our walk there brought us up to 5 miles for the day. Not too bad…..my feet really hurt though.
